Of course trains provide transportation, but they do so much more. Amtrak unites people socially and economically, helping the American Spirit to thrive, and moving the nation forward like never before.

With the help of “Humans of New York” photographer Brandon Stanton, we took to the rails all over the US to capture the beauty and baggage of Amtrak’s passengers.
